Looking to get Wireless/Tap Payment?
Upgrading to a metal card and want to retain tap-to-pay functionality? This feature allows you to keep the convenience of wireless payments, but it involves a specialized and delicate process to ensure your card remains fully functional after conversion.
How It Works
- Chip Compatibility: Not all chips support wireless tap functionality. Refer to the image below to verify if your card’s chip is compatible. If your chip matches one of the supported designs, it can be safely integrated into your metal card.
- Delicate NFC Transfer Process:
- Special Non-Metallic Material on the Backside:
Why Is There an Additional Cost?
The process is much more complex than a standard conversion. It involves:
- Precision handling to extract and transfer delicate NFC components.
- Ensuring the chip and antenna remain undamaged for reliable tap functionality.
- Adding a custom non-metallic section to the backside for wireless signal strength while maintaining a fully metal front.
Important Notes:
- If tap-to-pay is essential to you, make sure your card is compatible by checking the reference image below.
- If your card’s chip isn’t supported, the wireless payment feature cannot be retained.
- Please note that the non-metallic section is only on the backside to enable tap-to-pay functionality, while the front remains a fully metal design.
Wireless/Tap Payments Chips
We can upgrade cards with these exact chips to a metal contactless payment card. Please note: if your exact chip is not on this list, your card will not work for contactless payments. However you will still be able to insert, swipe and use Apple / Samsung pay.
Non-compatible Chips
We are unable to customize cards with these chips. Please contact us if you’re not sure about your chip type.
